Privacy Policy

The short version: your findings are yours. We do not sell them, publish them, share them with other users, or use them to build our public datasets. The spots you favorite stay private to your account.

1. What we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the service:

Account info: your email address and a securely hashed password (handled by our auth provider, Supabase).
Billing info: subscription status and a customer identifier from Stripe. We never see or store your card number — that stays with Stripe.
Saved favorites: the sites you star are linked to your account so you can access them across devices.
Usage analytics: aggregated, anonymous page views and performance metrics via Vercel Analytics. No personal identifiers are attached.

2. Your findings stay yours

The spots you save, the areas you zoom to, the filters you apply — none of this is shared with other users, published on the site, sold to third parties, or fed back into our public dataset. Your favorites are visible only to you, protected by your account credentials and database row-level security.

We understand the value of a good find. Keep it to yourself with confidence.

3. How we use your data

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To process subscription payments.
To deliver the map, search, and favorites features.
To send transactional email (sign-up confirmation, password reset, billing receipts). We do not send marketing email without explicit opt-in.

4. Who we share data with

We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service:

Supabase — database and authentication.
Stripe — subscription billing.
Vercel — web hosting and anonymous analytics.
Mapbox — map tiles and geocoding (place search). Mapbox receives the search query you type and your map viewport; it does not receive your identity.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Ever.

5. Cookies

We use first-party cookies only, to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. No third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

6. Your rights

You can delete your account at any time, which removes your profile, favorites, and identifying data from our active database. Residual copies may persist in backups for up to 30 days before being purged. Email us using the contact page to request deletion or a data export.

7. Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be announced via email.
